Back in September, one of the members of the junior class, Kathleen O’Connor, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL). After experiencing pain in her shoulder and peck muscle, Kathleen went in for further testing and receive the diagnosis. Kathleen went through six rounds of chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from October and finished her final round on January 29th. We are happy to report that Kathleen is now officially in remission. During this challenging time, Kathleen’s bravery and courage has been an inspiration to the team. She is one of our fiercest competitors, so it was no surprise when she brought this same mentality to her treatment. We will be honoring Kathleen and her fight against cancer on March 26th during our game against Cincinnati.
